Day 14 | After our heroes defeat the curse of the Crystal Palace, they find themselves back in the Qurth Forest-- and it is obviously many months later than they expected! |
Day 15 | The party heads back to Pommeville, finding it overrun with undead, gnolls, and a Temple of Tiamat being rebuilt. Captured by Nedrezzar, they must make a quest to defeat a demon terrorizing a nearby community. |
Day 16 | Our would-be heroes discover that some past companions are now zombies under the command of Nedrezzar. The party leaves for Thornhold by boat. |
Day 17 | The party spends the night in a boat up in a tree outside Thornhold after an ankheg attacks their camp. |
Day 18 | Our heroes spend a day in Thornhold, and meet the non-fiendish Lord Taricz. The shorter members of the party decide to confront the Taricz directly. |
Day 19 |
All our heroes end up fighting for their lives at a half-fiend's farmstead. Bryrgar loses his life in the conflict. An elven fighter called Maiyr finds our heroes shortly after the encounter, and decides to aid them. Roscoe dies soon after in an explosion from combining two artifacts of opposing alignment. A human fighter called Darvin hears the explosion and offers his services. |
Day 20 | After an exciting night of traveling north, the party finds they are actually traveling in the right direction to catch the fleeing half-fiend. They arrive at a cairn to Barak. |
Day 21 |
Our heroes find and defeat the Maiden of Pain, rest for the evening, and return to Thornhold. The party passes a ghostly form of a burned halfling circling the magma farm. Moments later, a magmin emerges from the lava farm and runs around, burning another farm down in the subsequent chase. |
Day 22 | Party rests and recouperates in Thornhold briefly, with plans to ride on Pommeville with Lord Taricz forces. |
Day 23 |
Departure from Thornhold. The fortified party defeats fifty of Nedrezzar's gnolls and undead between towns. The heroes defeat small bands of undead, arrive at the lich's sarcophagus, and are teleported elsewhere. Darvin is dispatched during an in-party tiff. The ghost of Roscoe appears. Roscoe inadvertantly weakens the party so much that they need ten days to regain strength. He also irritates a manticore, troll, and an army of goblins. He is "slain" but reforms after ten days. |
