After slaying the chaos beast and wandering through the countryside of the previous century, the party stumbles into an abandoned Shrine of Aroden with an altar. The heroes find the holy book <i>The History and Future of Humanity</i> and a key. Lishum immediately touches the key and teleports away. He returns (as does the key) with tales of a cave full of carvings and prophesies. Kelerieth and Carmilla visit the site together, and decide to attempt to sleep there. Carmilla had a nightmare about the return of Yog-Sothoth and managed to lose some sanity. They returned to the group shortly afterwards. Later, as the bard continues to have a bad time of it, our heroes head back to Cottering and find a tunnel below a trap door in the servants' quarters, thanks to Divv's detailed maps of future-Cottering. There is a room below the quarters that have 120 human(oid) skulls, all showing human teeth marks on them, facing an obelisk in the center of the room. The bard has worse time of it as
