Lenore has very long black hair (a status symbol in Rashemi culture), pale skin and dark eyes. She is usually carrying her raven familiar on her shoulder, though he often flies off to investigate things. She sometimes covers her face with a mask, something all the witches do when in Rashemen, and fights with a scythe, the chosen weapon of Chauntea.

Biography
Lenore Murnyethara is Ethran, an untested Witch of Rashemen, part way through her dajemma, and will return to Rashemen when she is ready to become Hathran. She divides her studies between those of a cleric of Chauntea (Bhalla) and a specialist using the arcane spells of evocation.

Lenore was raised by her Othlor aunt after losing her parents to a war with the Red Wizards of Thay. Her mother too was a wychlaran, though of an unusual background she knows little about, and her father was the witch's cohort. Only thing Lenore has left from them is a black feather amulet worn on a chain around her neck. It registers very powerful magic, but she's yet to unlock its secrets. She never removes it willingly and it cannot be removed by force.

When she became Ethran, Lenore planned to get a rodent familiar, but Vorona the Raven arrived just as she began her arcane studies. He kept cawing out "Lenore," which she goes by, even though it's not a Rashemi name, so it was obvious he was meant to belong with her.

Lenore has discovered that she can channel and successfully cast spell energies better when she gives the spell a corvine twist. Spells she casts often sound like a murder of crows, a wave of force may appear to be an unkindness of ravens streaming forth.
