This campaign will be strictly Golarion (no spells, feats, deities, prestige classes, etc. from other “worlds”), and with races and classes found in the Pathfinder Core Rulebook. All characters will be based on these “3.75” rules.
Characters can be made for a “High Fantasy” campaign (20 points) using the Point Buy method found on or near page 16 (tables 1-1 and 1-2 in Core Rulebook). Everyone starts at 1st level in Ustalav (unless you and/or your character join later in the campaign). PCs should have a reason to be there. Use the Starting Character Wealth on or near page 140 (table 6-1). We are using the “Flat” starting hit points for first level (Max for class + Constitution bonus). No evil characters please.
Character sheets will be created and stored here: http://rpgs.wererat.net/pcs/ so that the DM has access to them as needed.
You can incorporate two of the Traits from here: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/traits into your background for free. They must be from different lists.
No character or inventory item, etc. is in play unless it has been approved by the DM. This includes characters that have gone up a level since the last time Hugh has okayed a character sheet. Things discussed between characters that effect game play do not happen if the DM is not made aware of them.
Main books/sources used for character creation:
- Pathfinder Core Rulebook
- http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ (official rules), or http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ (not 3rd party stuff— those usually have a note beside the entries)
- Inner Sea World Guide or http://pathfinderwiki.com/
- Other Pathfinder Companion or Chronicles on a case-by-case basis.
- Some materials/errata from http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG, approved on a case-by-case basis.

Character Death & New Characters
Character deaths happen, and resurrection isn’t always an option. If a character dies heroically, the player may create a new character at the level the old character would have been at had they been resurrected, with the addition of that session’s experience points. Characters coming into the game in this fashion have to make sense for the story line.
The new character’s starting funds are shown in the Core Rulebook on table 12-4 (page 399ish). All magic items must be approved by the DM.
